This section describes how Comcar.co.uk, owned and managed by Carmen Data Limited, uses any information given to us and how it is kept secure. These measures also apply to microsites supplied as folders or iframes to other websites.

The Data Protection Act

Under the UK Data Protection Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information that we collect from you. Only the minimum data needed to efficiently process user requirements is asked for and stored, using leading technologies to safeguard your data.

Site usage information

When you visit the site, the data that you input will be stored temporarily using a combination of URL,session and cookie data.. This allows your choices to be passed from one screen to another, and therefore these technologies need to be enabled on your computer to allow full use of the site. Session cookies are deleted when you leave the site, and do not contain personal information. Additional information will be stored for users that choose to register but this is to enable us to provide a mechanism for you to store and retrieve data in the future.

Linking to other sites

We have no control over the other websites for which links are provided and so you will need to appreciate that our privacy policy will no longer apply when you move to another site.
